Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use Camberlo, a brand of The Nelson M Group LLC. Camberlo is not an insurance company, agency, or broker and choosing insurance is your decision.
These terms deserve a careful read. They include an arbitration clause and class-action waiver, and explain that Camberlo is not an insurance company, agency, or broker.
1Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Camberlo, a brand of The Nelson M Group LLC ("Camberlo," "we," "us"). They govern your use of camberlo.com and related services, among them email and text-message programs (the "Services"). By using the Services or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and, if you opt in to texts, our SMS Terms. Disagree with any part of them? Then please do not use the Services.
2What Camberlo is, and is not
Camberlo is an information service. We publish general, plain-language data about how insurance works, how to read a policy, and what tends to affect insurance costs, and let visitors opt in to related updates. We do not sell insurance, give quotes, rates, or price estimates, match people with agents or insurers, or refer people to providers, and we will not share your details with agents, insurers, or any other business partners.
Camberlo is not an insurance company, agency, or broker. We will not sell, underwrite, or administer insurance, we are not a licensed agent, adjuster, or attorney, and we will not give insurance, legal, or financial advice. Content is for general information only and is not a substitute for professional advice. Always check the details with your own insurer, agent, or state insurance department. In an emergency or after an accident with injuries, call 911.
- Decisions about your insurance are yours. Reading our content does not obligate you to do anything.
- Your own insurer or agent, not Camberlo, explains the terms, limits, exclusions, and costs of any policy, and is responsible for your coverage.
- Costs, coverage, and savings vary by person, plan, and location. We will not guarantee that you will save any amount, qualify for any coverage or discount, or get any particular result.
3Eligibility
The Services are open to people who are at least 18, are located in the United States, and can legally enter a binding contract. Please submit details only about yourself, or about another person who has authorized you to share them.
4Your information and accuracy
Accurate, current information is required, and you agree to update it as needed. Do not give us a mobile number unless it is yours or you are authorized to use it. If your number changes or is reassigned, please reply STOP from the old number or contact us so that we do not message someone else.
5Communications and text-message consent
By opting in, you agree that we may reach you by email and, where you check the relevant boxes, by automated text messages as described in the SMS Terms. Consent to texts is optional, is not a condition of purchase or of using the Services, and may be withdrawn at any time by replying STOP. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help.
6Text messaging: rates, frequency, STOP and HELP
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary (up to about 8 messages a month, depending on the topics you choose). Text START to join, or opt in with the form on our Get Started or text updates page. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of using the Services.
- STOP: Reply STOP to any message to opt out (STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT also work). You will get one confirmation text and then no more messages.
- HELP: Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us by email at [email protected] or by phone at 888-924-0791.
Mobile information and opt-in data are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.
7Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) submit false, misleading, or someone else's information; (b) use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Services or attempt unauthorized access; (d) use bots or automated means to submit forms; (e) copy, scrape, or resell our content without permission; or (f) impersonate any person or entity. We may suspend or end your access if you do.
8Third-party organizations and links
Organizations, programs, and products mentioned on or linked from the Services (for example state insurance departments, consumer groups, or insurers) belong to third parties. We endorse no product, plan, or provider, and we take no responsibility for the conduct, content, or outcomes of any third party. Your relationship with an insurer or agent is between you and them.
9Intellectual property
The Services, among them the Camberlo name, logo, text, graphics, and design, are the property of us or our licensors, protected under intellectual property laws. We license you, on a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable basis, to view and use the Services for personal and non-commercial purposes only. Each photograph on the Site is used under its free-use license.
10Disclaimers
No warranties of any kind, express or implied, apply to the services or content, which are supplied "as is" and "as available." This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We also do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any message will be delivered on time or at all.
Camberlo does not provide insurance, legal, or financial advice, and makes no representation about any policy, coverage, price, savings amount, or claim outcome.
11Limitation of liability
Where the law permits, Camberlo and The Nelson M Group LLC, and their members, managers, officers, employees, and agents, will have no liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the services or out of any insurance decision you make or do not make. In any claim relating to the services, our total liability is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some of the limits above may be unenforceable where you live, since some jurisdictions disallow certain limitations. Liability that cannot be limited by law is not limited by these Terms.
12Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless The Nelson M Group LLC and its affiliates and personnel for any claims, damages, and expenses, including appropriate attorneys' fees, resulting from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Services, or provision of a phone number or other information you were not authorized to give.
13Disputes, governing law, and arbitration
Informal resolution first. Before you file any claim, reach us at [email protected] and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.
Binding arbitration. Except for small-claims matters and claims for injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse, any dispute between you and Camberlo or The Nelson M Group LLC arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in your county of residence or by video or phone, at your choice. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief as a court, and judgment may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class-action waiver. To the extent permitted by law, you and Camberlo each agree to bring claims only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action.
Opt-out. To opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, email [email protected] with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your name and mobile number.
Governing law. Governing law: the Federal Arbitration Act and the laws of the state in which The Nelson M Group LLC has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except as the arbitration clause supplies, exclusive jurisdiction lies with the state and federal courts located in that state.
14Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time, and may opt out of messages by replying STOP. Access may be suspended or terminated by us at our discretion, for example for violations of these Terms. Sections that by nature are intended to survive, including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and disputes, remain in force after termination.
15Changes
We reserve the right to revise these Terms. Revised Terms will carry a new "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the Services after the effective date counts as acceptance. We will give notice of material changes as the law requires.
16General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms, are the entire agreement between you and us on this subject. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent, and we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
